Area profiles
This part of the site provides quality of life information at electoral ward and parish level. Select an area on the map, or the Local Authority name to the left of this page, and then click on the ‘show wards’ link beneath the desired Local Authority, to select the ward profile of your choice. Alternatively you can simply type in the postcode of interest (in the postcode search box) and the relevant profile will be displayed.
These ward profiles attempt to describe the place, the people and the quality of life in each area. There are two profiles for each ward. One is a detailed textual description, with some data tables and graphs. The other is a summary profile, which compares each ward's rankings within the local authority in graph form.

The parish profiles are much briefer and give some socio economic information about the parish population.
